MARSHALL INVESTIGATIVE GROUP — WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: September 10, 2026
Last Updated: September 10, 2026

Marshall Investigative Group (“Marshall Investigative Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of visitors to our website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through mi-pi.com, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

1. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

This Policy applies only to information collected through the mi-pi.com website, including our contact form, employment inquiries, and client account registration and login pages.

This Policy does not apply to investigative records. Marshall Investigative Group is a licensed private investigative agency. Information we collect, develop, or report in the course of performing investigative services for a client — including information about claimants, witnesses, employees, or subjects of an investigation — is not governed by this Policy. That information is handled under our engagement agreements with our clients, our professional obligations of confidentiality, our state investigative agency licenses, and the federal and state laws that apply to that work. If you have a question or concern about an investigation, please contact us using the information in Section 12 rather than relying on this Policy.

This Policy also does not apply to third-party websites we may link to. See Section 10.

2. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US

We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us through this website.

Contact and general inquiries. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the subject and content of your message. If you include additional details in your message, we receive those as well. Please do not submit sensitive information, case details, or documents through the website contact form; call us instead.

Employment inquiries. If you apply or inquire about employment, we collect the information you send us, which may include your name, contact information, resume or CV, work history, education, licenses and certifications, language skills, and any other details you choose to provide. We use this information to evaluate your candidacy and to communicate with you about opportunities.

Client accounts and the client portal. Clients and prospective clients who register for an account or log in provide information such as name, business or organization name, business email address, business telephone number, and account credentials. We use this information to establish and administer the account, authenticate users, deliver case materials and reports, and communicate about services. Account credentials are used only for authentication.

3. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

Like most websites, our web servers automatically record limited technical information when you visit. This may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, the date and time of your visit, the pages you request, and the referring page. We use these server logs to operate and secure the site, diagnose technical problems, and detect and prevent abuse, unauthorized access, and other malicious activity.

Cookies. We use only strictly necessary cookies — the kind required for the website to function, such as maintaining your session when you log in to the client portal and protecting form submissions. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to track you across other websites.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the client portal from working properly.

No analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking. We do not use third-party web analytics services, advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or other cross-context behavioral advertising technologies on this website. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we do not track visitors across websites or serve targeted advertising, there is no cross-site tracking for a browser “Do Not Track” signal or Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of.

4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your inquiries and provide the information or services you request;
  • establish, administer, authenticate, and support client accounts;
  • deliver case materials, reports, and invoices to clients;
  • evaluate employment inquiries and communicate with candidates;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other misuse of the site;
  • maintain business records; and
  • comply with legal, regulatory, licensing, and professional obligations, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not use information collected through this website to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

5. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We share information collected through this website only in the following circumstances:

Service providers. Vendors that host our website, provide email and file transfer, supply IT and security support, and perform similar functions on our behalf. They may use the information only to provide services to us and are required to protect it.

Affiliated companies. Our corporate affiliates and regional offices, where needed to respond to your inquiry or service your account.

Professional advisors. Attorneys, accountants, insurers, and auditors, in connection with legal, regulatory, and business matters.

Legal and safety. Courts, regulators, licensing authorities, and law enforcement, when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Marshall Investigative Group, our clients, or others.

Business transfers. A successor or acquiring entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets. Information would remain subject to this Policy or a successor policy.

6. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We keep personal information collected through this website only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, and then for any additional period required by law, our professional and licensing obligations, our insurance requirements, or the need to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Website server logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Contact form submissions and employment inquiries are retained according to our internal records schedule. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it unreadable.

7. SECURITY

Confidentiality is central to our business. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, and loss. These include encrypted transmission of website traffic, access controls and authentication for the client portal, restriction of access to personnel with a business need, and confidentiality obligations for our staff and vendors.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send confidential case information, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or medical information through the website contact form or by unencrypted email.

8. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES AND RIGHTS

You may at any time:

  • ask us what personal information we hold about you from your use of this website;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate information;
  • ask us to delete information we collected from you through this website; or
  • ask us to stop sending you business communications.

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under state privacy law — including in California, Colorado, and other states with comprehensive consumer privacy statutes — such as the right to know or access the personal information we hold, the right to correct it, the right to delete it, the right to obtain a portable copy, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information and of targeted advertising and certain profiling, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. As explained in Section 3, we do not sell personal information, we do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not conduct profiling of website visitors.

How to submit a request. Send your request to [email protected], call us at (847) 993-2035, or write to us at the address in Section 12. Please tell us what you are asking for and enough information for us to locate your records.

We will verify your identity before acting on a request, using information already in our possession, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. There is no charge for a request, though we may charge a reasonable fee or decline a request that is excessive or repetitive, as permitted by law.

Limits. We may decline all or part of a request where an exception applies — for example, where the information is subject to a legal obligation to retain it, where it relates to investigative services performed for a client or is otherwise outside the scope of this Policy (see Section 1), where disclosure would compromise the confidentiality or integrity of an investigation or a legal proceeding, or where disclosure would infringe the rights of another person. If we decline, we will tell you why. If you disagree with our decision and your state provides an appeal process, you may appeal by writing to us at the same address; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

This website is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our website may link to third-party sites and services, including our social media pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

11. VISITORS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES

Marshall Investigative Group is based in the United States and this website is operated in the United States. If you access the site or contact us from outside the United States, the information you provide will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.
